Featured Alumna: Dr. Kate Rice Warnell, Ph.D. (2016, Developmental Psychology)
Dr. Kate Rice Warnell is an assistant professor of psychology at Texas State University, where she directs the Social Cognition Across Development Lab. Her research investigates social cognitive development in typical individuals and in autism, with a focus on using naturalistic behavioral and eye-tracking methods to quantify the complexities of real-world social interaction. After receiving her BA in psychology and linguistics from the University of Michigan, she completed a post-baccalaureate fellowship at the Yale Child Study Center. She then entered the Developmental Psychology PhD program at the University of Maryland, where Dr. Elizabeth Redcay primarily advised her. After receiving her PhD in 2016, Dr. Warnell began her current position at Texas State.
