Social Justice Teach In

This year, we are excited to partner with BSOS to make the Social Justice Teach-In Keynote Address a BSOS Community Forum Event. This event is open to students, faculty, and staff!

We are thrilled to have Mrs. Dawn Collins, mother of Lt. Richard Collins III, as our Keynote Speaker.

Mrs. Dawn Collins has become a leader in the fight against hate crimes. Since the tragic murder of her son,  Lt. Richard Collins III, by a white supremacist on UMD's campus in 2017, Mrs. Collins has been advocating for hate crimes reform. During the keynote address Mrs. Collins will speak to turning pain into social change, standing up for what is right in challenging times, and the power of education in creating a more just society.

Date: Wednesday, November 11th

Time: 12:00-12:50pm

Location: Benjamin Banneker Room, Stamp Student Union

Reception to follow until 1:50pm in Charles Carroll Room
