Bob Slevc is an Associate Professor and Associate Chair in the Department of Psychology, part of the program in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science (NACS), and a Research Associate Professor in the Maryland Language Science Center. He received his Ph.D. at the University of California, San Diego and was a postdoctoral scholar at Rice University before coming to UMD. His primary interests are (1) the cognitive mechanisms underlying language processing (especially language production) in both normal and brain-damaged populations and (2) music perception/cognition and how the processing of language and music are (and are not) related.
