UMD's Department of Psychology was recognized by the Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA) for its innovative research assessment procedures, making it the first (and as of July 2024 the only) academic department in North America to be featured by DORA. DORA was founded in 2012 with the mission of advancing responsible, fair, and robust approaches to assessing research.
