Kalina is a doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program, working under the guidance of Dr. Alexander Shackman. Her previous research experience spans clinical trials, policy research, and affective neuroscience. She has collaborated with researchers from Europe, the UK, and the US.

Kalina is interested in neural signatures and functional brain networks underlying emotion-cognition processing differences, particularly in young adults at increased risk for anxiety. She is keen on utilizing data-driven approaches to translate basic neuroscience findings into enhanced therapeutic interventions.
