Annika Quam is a doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program, working with Dr. Lea Rose Dougherty in the Big Emotions Across Development (BEAD) Lab. Annika received her BA in Psychology and Medicine, Health, and Society from Vanderbilt University, where she received Highest Honors for her thesis in the Stress and Coping Lab. After graduating in 2022, she spent two years as a postbaccalaureate research fellow at the National Institute on Drug Abuse with Dr. Amy Janes in the Neuroimaging Research Branch focusing on understanding the relationship between childhood trauma, emotional awareness, and nicotine use. Annika’s research interests focus on the intersection of neuropsychology, early life adversity, and emotion regulation in adolescence.
