Bio
Karoline Trovato (she/her) is a doctoral candidate in counseling psychology at the University of Maryland where she received her Bachelor of Science in psychology and Masters of Science in counseling psychology. Through her work alongside her faculty advisor, Dr. Karen O'Brien, Karoline aims to contribute to the power of research and knowledge to inform decisions and change lives. Karoline’s research interests center the needs of women and those of marginalized identities, with a focus on work and family management and the development of healthy romantic relationships. Karoline aims to use her lived experience, research, clinical training, advocacy work, and emphasis on social justice to move science and our global community forward in a more honest, equitable, and empathic way.
