Bio

Jessica (Jess) Abramson (she/her) entered the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program in 2023. She works with Dr. Ethan Mereish in the Lavender Lab. She graduated from Wellesley College in 2019 with a BA in Psychology and Data Science. Her research examines oppression and oppression-based stress with a focus on the experiences of LGBTQ adolescents. She explores the effects of intersectional structural oppression on LGBTQ young people with different racial and ethnic identities. She is also very interested in using novel or creative data sets to answer questions about the effects of oppression. Outside the lab, you can find Jess reading memoirs, painting, and learning ASL.
