Crowell McQuarrie, Susanna

Dr. Susanna Crowell McQuarrie (she/her/hers) is a licensed psychologist with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. She received her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and her doctoral degree from Georgia State University. She completed her predoctoral psychology internship at the University of California at Davis Child and Adolescent Abuse and Resource and Evaluation (CAARE) Center. Dr.

Gard, Arianna

Dr. Gard is an Assistant Professor of Developmental Psychology, Faculty Affiliate in the Program in Neuroscience and Cognitive Neuroscience (NACS), Social Data Science Center, and the Maryland Population Research Center, and Director of the Growth And Resilience across Development (GARD) Lab at the University of Maryland, College Park.

Chicoli, Amanda

Dr. Amanda Chicoli is a lecturer in the Psychology Department. She is also the research coordinator for the neuroscience major, a faculty advisor for the minor in neuroscience, and the course director for NEUR305: Neural Systems and Circuits. Previously, she earned her Ph.D. in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science from the University of Maryland where she used behavioral and computational approaches to study collective behavior and decision making in groups of fish.

Li, Xuan (Anna)

Dr. Xuan (Anna) Li received her Ph.D. degree in Neuroscience at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago. Dr. Li then completed her postdoctoral training at National Institute on Drug Abuse in Baltimore. Dr. Li joined the department of Psychology at University of Maryland College Park in January 2018. Her lab focuses on examining neural mechanisms of drug addiction. 

The Li Lab is accepting graduate students starting Fall 2019. 

Danko, Christina

Dr. Christina Danko received her PhD in Clinical Psychology, Child track, from DePaul University and completed an APA-accredited internship at Louisiana State University Health and Sciences Center. Dr. Danko completed a clinical postdoctoral fellowship at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, and a postdoctoral fellowship with Dr. Andrea Chronis-Tuscano at the University of Maryland. Dr.

Blanchard, Jack

Dr. Blanchard received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook . He was subsequently a predoctoral intern, postdoctoral NIMH fellow, and then faculty member at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, Eastern Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute. Following a faculty appointment at the University of New Mexico Dr. Blanchard moved to the University of Maryland where he has been since 1999. Dr.

Ball, Gregory

In addition to serving as a faculty member in the Department of Psychology, Gregory F. Ball is the vice president for research for the University of Maryland, College Park (UMCP) and the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), overseeing a joint research enterprise that ranks among the top 10 public institutions in research expenditures, and which garners $1.3 billion in research awards annually.

Dr. Ball joined the University of Maryland in 2014 as Professor and Dean of the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences.

Bernat, Edward

Dr. Bernat received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Michigan, where he also completed an APA-accredited internship and postdoctoral work in Biomedical Engineering. He subsequently served as a Research Associate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Minnesota and then core faculty in Clinical Psychology at Florida State University. Dr. Bernat joined the Psychology faculty at the University of Maryland-College Park in 2013.
