Mereish, Ethan

Dr. Ethan Mereish is an Associate Professor and the director of the Lavender Lab in the Department of Psychology at the University of Maryland, College Park. He's also an Adjunct Associate Professor at American University and Brown University. He completed his doctoral training at Boston College, a clinical psychology residency at Harvard Medical School, and a postdoctoral research fellowship at Brown University.

Navarro Cebrian, Ana

Dr. Navarro earned her Ph.D. at the University of Granada, Spain, and performed her doctoral research as a visiting scholar at the Center for Mind and Brain at the University of California, Davis. Upon graduation, she was a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Neurology at UCSF, and a visiting scholar at the Hellen Wills Neuroscience Institute at UC Berkeley. Her research focuses on the human brain with the use of neuroscience techniques such as electroencephalography and fMRI.

Tyrell, Fanita

Dr. Fanita Tyrell is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of Maryland at College Park.  Dr. Tyrell received her PhD in Developmental Psychology, with a minor in quantitative methods at the University of California, Riverside.  Following her doctoral training, she completed postdoctoral fellowships at the National Center for PTSD and the Institute of Child Development at the University of Minnesota. 

Gard, Arianna

Dr. Gard is an Assistant Professor of Developmental Psychology, Faculty Affiliate in the Program in Neuroscience and Cognitive Neuroscience (NACS), Social Data Science Center, and the Maryland Population Research Center, and Director of the Growth And Resilience across Development (GARD) Lab at the University of Maryland, College Park.

Jones, Benjamin

Dr. Benjamin Jones joined the Psychology department in 2019. He earned his Ph.D. in Industrial Organizational Psychology from the Georgia Institute of Technology where he studied strategies leaders could use to appeal to multiple, competing groups to optimize their chance of retaining and gaining followers.  He is passionate about inspiring others through undergraduate education and is excited to be able to do so as a Terp.

Chicoli, Amanda

Dr. Amanda Chicoli is a senior lecturer in the Psychology Department. She is also the research coordinator for the neuroscience major, a faculty advisor for the minor in neuroscience, the faculty advisor for NuRhoPsi and the course director for NEUR305: Neural Systems and Circuits. She has been teaching at the University of Maryland full time since 2019. 

Li, Xuan (Anna)

Dr. Xuan (Anna) Li received her Ph.D. degree in Neuroscience at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago. Dr. Li then completed her postdoctoral training at National Institute on Drug Abuse in Baltimore. Dr. Li joined the department of Psychology at University of Maryland College Park in January 2018. Her lab focuses on examining neural mechanisms of drug addiction. 

The Li Lab is not accepting graduate students in the coming Fall 2025 cycle. 

Danko, Christina

Dr. Christina Danko received her PhD in Clinical Psychology, Child track, from DePaul University and completed an APA-accredited internship at Louisiana State University Health and Sciences Center. Dr. Danko completed a clinical postdoctoral fellowship at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, and a postdoctoral fellowship with Dr. Andrea Chronis-Tuscano at the University of Maryland. Dr.
