Dr. Cristina Risco is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Maryland, College Park, affiliated with the Clinical and Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory (CCN Lab). Ball is the vice president for research for the University of Maryland, College Park (UMCP) and the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), overseeing a joint research enterprise that ranks among the top 10 public institutions in research expenditures, and which garners $1.3 billion in research awards annually.
Dr. Ball joined the University of Maryland in 2014 as Professor and Dean of the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences.
Dr. Bernat received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Michigan, where he also completed an APA-accredited internship and postdoctoral work in Biomedical Engineering. He subsequently served as a Research Associate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Minnesota and then core faculty in Clinical Psychology at Florida State University. Dr. Bernat joined the Psychology faculty at the University of Maryland-College Park in 2013.
Bob Slevc is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology, as well as part of the Program in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science (NACS) and the Maryland Language Science Center. He received his Ph.D. at the University of California, San Diego and was a postdoctoral scholar at Rice University before coming to UMD. His research focuses on the cognitive mechanisms involved in the processing of language and of music in both normal and brain-damaged populations.
I am a Professor in the Department of Psychology (Clinical and CNS Area Groups), core faculty member of the interdepartmental Neuroscience and Cognitive Science (NACS) Doctoral Program and the Maryland Neuroimaging Center (MNC), and Director of the Affective and Translational Neuroscience Laboratory at the University of Maryland. My work has been continuously supported by the NIH since 2016 and led to well over 100 publications (h-index: 55).
Elizabeth Redcay received her Ph.D. in Psychology and Cognitive Science from the University of California San Diego in 2008 and completed her postdoctoral work in the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 2011 she joined the faculty at UMD as an Assistant Professor in Psychology and member of the Neuroscience and Cognitive Science (NACS) program.
